If you’re driving, it’s pretty straight forward if you’re fully vaccinated.

Just take proof and fill in a statement of honour to say you have no symptoms.

Driving from France to Belgium won’t be an issue.

Need to fill in passenger locator for return to UK

Put down HGV driver on the plr and you don’t need to do the day 2 test.

Flown 3 times this year and no one has checked them.

Re: Travel to Genk covid rules
You dont need a pcr test to enter belgium if staying for less than 48 hours and are fully vaxxed according to belgium website

Re: Travel to Genk covid rules
Taking a lateral flow to take when we're out there. We are staying for longer than 48 hrs so need to test. You can do that, or take a PCR before you travel. Lateral flow works out cheaper.

That's if you're jabbed, mind.

Re: Travel to Genk covid rules
Some info from Briggsy on KUMB

I just returned from Belgium last week. You have to fill out a passenger locater form (PLF) when going to Belgium. On the form is a question "Will you be in Belgium for over 48 hours?" and have to answer Yes or No.

If you answer Yes, you must provide an isolation address in Belgium & you must test in Belgium. You cannot leave your isolation location until you have your test result, which can take 1-2 days. You don't need to isolate or test in Belgium if you visit for under 48 hours.

When you are returning to the UK. You also have to complete a UK PLF. On the PLF they will ask for a covid test code, therefore you need to book your covid test and enter the reference code onto the UK PLF. As of 24th October, you only need to book a lateral flow - but it still needs to be done at a test centre. This test will be taken in the UK after you have returned from Belgium.

Overall, your life will be easier if you stay in Belgium for under 48 hours.

Re: Travel to Genk covid rules
Travellers who are staying in Belgium for less than 48 hours must complete the Belgian Passenger Locator Form, but are not required to quarantine or take a test. This does not apply to travellers returning from a third country classified as a very high-risk zone (see the Belgian government’s website).

Travellers who are fully vaccinated with a Belgian, EU Vaccination Certificate or an NHS COVID Pass or certificate with a QR code (England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland)
You must:

complete a Passenger Locator Form (PLF), unless you fall under a very limited list of exemptions listed on the Belgian government website (under the Transport and International section)

take a test on day 1 or 2 after arrival and quarantine until you receive a negative result. Alternatively, you can provide evidence of a negative PCR test upon arrival, taken no more than 72 hours before arrival in Belgium. If you have a negative pre-departure test, you do not need to take tests on day 1 or day 2.

All arrivals from countries classified as high-risk, which currently includes the UK, are required to take a test on day 7, even if you are fully vaccinated and provided evidence of a negative pre-departure test. If any of the test results are positive, you must self-isolate in line with Belgian government guidance.

Further details are listed on the Belgian government’s website.
